A design classic Click check series for freshwater flyfishing Japanese Good Design Award Winner Anodised pearl silver finish In 1903, when Louis Bougl�?�? asked Hardy to make a lighter variation of their Perfect reel for competition casting, little did he know that his name would become immortalized by anglers the world over. The Bougl�?�? reel swiftly became popular because of its lightweight design, and it has remained so ever since, having recently been awarded the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. The MK IV keeps Monsieur Bougl�?�?'s invention firmly at the forefront of modern reel technology. It has been expertly machined from solid bar stock aluminium to combine minimum weight with maximum strength and has a sensational anodised pearl silver finish. The check adjuster is located on the rim, and the handle is fitted on the sideplate, allowing additional reel braking by through finger pressure to the face of the spool. Interchangeable spare spools are available if required.
